Sorrento is a beautiful beachside village just across the water. With Searoad Ferries running a dedicated service between Queenscliff and Sorrento, it’s a perfect day out or weekend getaway for all ages.
The ferry ride is an experience in itself. With “High Teas on the High Seas”, captain's lunches, brunches, events, and even live music, the ferry is the best way to travel. You might even be lucky enough to see a dolphin!
Don’t fill up too much on the ferry, as Sorrento has plenty of gourmet restaurants, delis, and cafes to enjoy. The millionaires walk, only ten minutes from the pier, offers breathtaking views as you walk in front of the clifftop mansions. There’s a large park tucked away behind the main road, offering plenty of space for a picnic, and a wooden playground for the kids.
The Peninsula Hot Springs are also well worth a visit, with seven new pools, each fitted with speakers to soak up the sonic vibrations, or listen to the live music! Catch the sunset in Sorrento, or on the ferry back, with special 7pm services running over the Easter Long Weekend.
