Aireys Inlet

Now that the Love Winter In Aireys festival has come and passed, you might wonder what else Aireys has to offer, especially during the colder months.

The main attraction of Aireys Inlet is absolutely the Split Point lighthouse, which is open to visitors every day. Climb the steps and peer out across the bay from the balcony. After that, or if you’re not up to the stairs, there are many walking paths around the lighthouse and the wetlands, with lots to safely explore, including the Eagle Rock, Split Point, and Loutit bay lookouts.

For those who find themselves hungry, there is a wonderful assortment of eateries in Aireys, from the Lighthouse Tea Rooms to the Aireys Pub, and there are a few lovely B&Bs for those who fancy a stay overnight.

Of course there are a few boutiques and a token souvenir shop, as well as a thriving art scene. Back at the start of town lies the historic General Store, as well as the Eagles Nest Gallery, and the Great Ocean Road Gin tasting room.

There’s something for everyone in Aireys, and it’s just down the Great Ocean Road.
